The midfield trio of the Liga Portugal Betclic Team of the Season is now complete! FC Porto’s Froholdt rounds off the selections made by the competition’s head coaches and captains for the ideal team’s midfield.

The 20-year-old Danish midfielder, winner of the Liga Portugal Betclic Player of the Year and WTF Young Player of the Year awards, had a dream debut season in the competition, featuring in all 34 league matches played by the Dragons, 32 of them as a starter, while recording six goals, five assists and 3,162 minutes on the pitch.

The consistency of his performances earned him eight Man of the Match awards, the second-best tally among all Liga Portugal Betclic players, while he was also named the Hey Doc Midfielder of the Month twice, in August and April.

With the Team of the Season taking shape, the number 8 joins teammates Diogo Costa, Kiwior, Bednarek and Alberto Costa, as well as Sporting CP duo Maxi Araújo and Hjulmand, and SC Braga’s Zalazar.
