He came, he saw, he conquered. A perfect way to describe Francesco Farioli's debut in Portugal, after being crowned Liga Portugal Betclic champion in his first season at the helm of FC Porto, an achievement that earned him the competition's Haier Manager of the Season award.

The Italian manager received the most votes from fellow coaches and captains of the competition, with 52% of the votes, in a season where he led the blue and whites to 28 wins, four draws and only two defeats in the league, a record that translated into the first trophy of his career. With 88 points, FC Porto were also the best defense in Liga Portugal Betclic, with 18 goals conceded, and the competition's third-best attack, with 66 goals scored.

The award was presented to Francesco Farioli this Friday by Liga Portugal, represented by Paulo de Mariz Rozeira, after the FC Porto-Santa Clara match, in the 34th and last round of the competition.

In this annual voting, Farioli finished ahead of the competition from Hugo Oliveira (FC Famalicão), with 14.5% of the votes, and Rui Borges (Sporting CP), who gathered 10.5% of the preferences.
