Victor Froholdt's first season in Portuguese was incredible. The 20-year-old Danish midfielder was crowned champion with FC Porto, and received two season awards: the Liga Portugal Betclic Player of the Season and WTF Young Player of the Season awards, after a voting was held between the head coaches and captain of the Liga Portugal Betclic teams, receiving 43% and 49.5% of the votes, respectively.

Signed during the 2025 Summer transfer market, the blue-and-whites' number 8 was a key piece for Francesco Farioli, featuring in all the 34 played in the competition, 31 as a starter, being FC Porto's field player with the most minutes.

Regarding the Player of the Season award, Froholdt finished ahead of the Sporting CP duo, formed by Luis Suárez and Trincão, who received 29.5% and 15% of the preferences, respectively.

As for the WTF Young Player of the Season award, the podium was completed by Schjelderup (SL Benfica), who gathered 24.5% of the preferences, and Gustavo Sá (FC Famalicão), with 15.5% of the votes.

The awards were presented this Saturday by Paulo Costa, Executive Director of Liga Portugal, alongside Tiago Simões, Betclic Country Manager, following the match between FC Porto and Santa Clara, corresponding to the 34th and final round of the competition.
