Andreas Schjelderup has been stepping up for SL Benfica, playing an important role that earned him the Liga Portugal Betclic Player of the Month award, for the first time this season.

After receiving 15.48% of the votes from the competition's head coaches, the 21-year-old Norwegian international once again sees his name added to Liga Portugal's official awards in April, after being named the competition's Continente Forward of the Month and Young Player of the Month.

The Eagles' number 21 had an outstanding month, scoring two goals and providing one assist in the four matches played in the competition during the period under review, as the Reds defeated CD Nacional (2-0), Sporting CP (2-0) – with Schjelderup scoring in both matches – and Moreirense FC (4-1), drawing with Casa Pia AC (1-1).

In the voting, SL Benfica's forward finished ahead of Victor Froholdt (FC Porto), with 13.10% of the votes, and Pedro Lima (AFS), who gathered 9.52% of the preferences from the head coaches.
