Ibrahima Ba, FC Famalicão's center-bacl, received the SABSEG Liga Portugal Betclic Defender of the Month award for the first time, for the month of March, after receiving 20.41% of the votes from the competition's head coaches.

Now in his second season in Portuguese football, the young Senegalese player stood out throughout the period under review, starting in all four matches played by the Famalicão side, who remained unbeaten against Rio Ave FC (0-0), FC Arouca (1-0), Vitória SC (2-1) and CD Nacional (1-0).

In addition to his defensive consistency, 20-year-old Ibrahima Ba also scored the decisive goal in the win over the Islanders, further highlighting his contribution during a month of strong collective and individual performances.

In the vote, FC Famalicão's defender finished ahead of FC Porto's Jakub Kiwior and Jan Bednarek, both with 13.27% of the votes. Despite being level on points, Kiwior secured second place due to the tie-break criteria related to age, as both players recorded identical figures in terms of minutes played and disciplinary record.
