To kick off matchweek 22 of Liga Portugal Betclic, SL Benfica travelled to the Estádio de São Miguel, where they defeated Santa Clara 2-1.

In the 16th minute, Pavlidis, after a cross from the right by Tomás Araújo, appeared at the six-yard box to head the ball into the back of the net and open the scoring.

In the 38th minute, following a cross from Pavlidis, the Azorean side conceded an own goal by Paulo Victor. In the 47th minute, Gonçalo Paciência pulled one back with a header from a corner.

With this result, SL Benfica remain in third place, with 52 points. Santa Clara, on the other hand, have 17 points and sit 16th in the standings.
