Marítimo M. and Académico drew 2-2 this Friday in the opening match of matchweek 7 of Liga Portugal 2 Meu Super.

It is the third consecutive match that ends in a draw between the two teams in Madeira, given that Académico's two last trips to the island to face Marítimo M. both finished 1-1.

This time, in front of 6,726 spectators in the stands, the Viriatos opened the scoring in the 56th minute, with André Clóvis converting from the penalty spot. However, three minutes later, in the 59th, Noah Madsen equalized with a precise header after a free-kick from the left.

In the 63rd minute, Samba Koné put Académico back in front with a strike from outside the box, but the islanders levelled the score once again with Adrián Butzke tucking in the rebound after a missed penalty, sealing the 2-2 final score in the 90+7 minute.

With this result, Marítimo M. now have 14 points, while Académico sit on six in Liga Portugal 2 Meu Super.
