High emotions at the Estádio do Sport Lisboa e Benfica, which welcomed 61,581 spectators in the stands - a 96% occupancy rate. SL Benfica had the win in their hands but ended up drawing 2-2 with FC Arouca in Matchday 29 of Liga Portugal Betclic.

All the goals came in the second half, with the Eagles taking the lead through a stunning long-range strike by Kökçü in the 60th minute. Arouca responded from the penalty spot, with Yalçin converting in the 72nd minute. Pavlidis then put Benfica back in front with a precise header in the 80th minute.

Everything seemed set for the Eagles' ninth consecutive league victory, but Weverson had other ideas, finishing off a well-worked move by Vasco Seabra’s men in the 90+5th minute to secure the final 2-2 scoreline.

After 29 rounds, SL Benfica sit second with 69 points, level with league leaders Sporting CP. FC Arouca now have 30 points and are in 12th place.
