Sporting CP emerged victorious in the clash of the Lions, defeating SC Farense 3-1 in the 20th round of Liga Portugal Betclic.

A packed Estádio José Alvalade, with 43,023 spectators, witnessed the league leaders take the lead early. Fresneda opened the scoring in the 11th minute, netting his first Liga goal after a fine assist from Harder. The home side doubled their advantage in the 26th minute, as Ousmane Diomande headed in from a corner to make it 2-0.

SC Farense pulled one back just before halftime, with Lucas Áfrico also scoring via a header, bringing the score to 2-1. However, Sporting CP sealed the win in the 88th minute when Harder chested in a cross, setting the final score at 3-1.

With this victory, Sporting CP strengthens its grip on the top spot, now with 50 points, while SC Farense remains in 17th place with 12 points.
