The Liga Portugal Board for the 2025-26 season took office this Thursday, in a ceremony led by the Chairman of the General Assembly, Comendador António Saraiva, at the Arena Liga Portugal, in Porto.

The new composition includes representatives from FC Alverca, FC Porto, SL Benfica, Sporting CP and Vitória SC, in Liga Portugal Betclic, as well as representatives from CD Feirense, Leixões SC and Marítimo M., in Liga Portugal 2 Meu Super. Reinaldo Teixeira, president of Liga Portugal, completes the lineup, alongside Rui Pereira Caeiro, the representative of the Portuguese Football Federation.

Together with executive directors André Mosqueira do Amaral, Susana da Silva Curto and Paulo de Mariz Rozeira, Liga Portugal is preparing to face the challenges of the new term, with particular emphasis on the Centralization of Audiovisual Rights, the core pillar of the ongoing structural transformation in Professional Football.

The new Board of Directors of Fundação do Futebol has also been appointed and will take office soon.

It is worth noting that the first Board meeting took place on Thursday afternoon, during which the strategic priorities for the new season were discussed.
