This Saturday, the Liga Portugal Board, led by Reinaldo Teixeira, attended the funeral ceremonies of André Silva and Diogo Jota, from Gondomar, who tragically lost their lives, leaving the entire sports community in mourning.

After the heartfelt tribute paid at the Kick-Off event, where the schedules for professional competitions were unveiled, the organization made a point of joining in this moment of profound grief, paying tribute to the families and friends, as well as to everyone who followed the two players throughout their careers.

The religious ceremony took place at the Igreja Matriz de Gondomar and was presided over by D. Manuel Linda, Bishop of Porto, bringing together hundreds of people who wanted to express their solidarity and celebrate the legacy of dedication and passion for football left by André and Diogo.

The Liga Portugal team once again sends deepest condolences to the families, friends and the entire sports community.
