The new Liga Portugal Ambassadors took office at the opening of the 2025-26 Kick-Off event. In a ceremony held at the Arena Liga Portugal auditorium, 20 stars who lit up national pitches in the past will now actively contribute to the promotion of Portuguese Football, this time off the pitch.

They are: Afonso Figueiredo, Albert Meyong, André André, António Folha, Antunes, Carlitos, Derlei, Eliseu, Flávio Meireles, Hassan Nader, Hugo Almeida, João Tomás, Jorge Cadete, Ljubomir Fejsa, Manuel Fernandes, Mário Jardel, Nuno André Coelho, Paulo Madeira, Pedro Mendes and Ruben Micael.

With these additions, there are now 54 former players who are part of the Ambassadors’ squad, which already included names such as Alan, André Almeida, Beto Pimparel, Beto Severo, Bruno Alves, Chaínho, Costinha, Dimas, Edinho, Fernando Meira, Helton, João Pinto, Jorge Andrade, Kléber, Luís Boa Morte, Maniche, Marco Caneira, Maxi Pereira, Nelson Pereira, Nuno Assis, Nuno Capucho, Nuno Gomes, Nuno Valente, Paulo Futre, Quim, Ricardo Quaresma, Ricardo Rocha, Silvestre Varela, Sílvio, Simão Sabrosa, Tarantini and Ukra.
