Gil Vicente FC matched their most impressive result of the current season with a 3-0 away win over CD Nacional, taking an important step towards securing their place in the top national competition.

It was in the 16th minute that the gilistas opened the scoring... and what a goal! Félix Correia started a visiting attack, saw the ball cleared in the air by the opposing defence, but the number 71 had other plans and, first time, unleashed a rocket into the far post, scoring a goal already in contention for one of the best of the month.

The second of the match came through Pablo Felipe. Ball recovery in the opposition half after high pressing from the visitors, Félix Correia set up Kanya Fujimoto, who hit the crossbar, but number 90, introduced six minutes earlier, finished to make it 2-0.

It was an afternoon to remember for Félix Correia, who reached his eighth goal of the season with a brace in the match. From the penalty spot, he sent Lucas França the wrong way and sealed the 3-0 final score.

With this result, the gilistas reach 29 points and create an eight-point gap from the relegation zone, while CD Nacional remain three points ahead of the Barcelos side.
