A milestone for the history books of Liga Portugal Betclic: Salvador Agra played his 300th match in the top tier of Portuguese professional football in this 20th round. This achievement, reached in the clash between Boavista FC and FC Famalicão—which ended in a 2-0 defeat for the Axadrezados — places the Portuguese winger among the players with the most appearances in the competition.

Born in Vila do Conde, Salvador José Milhazes Agra, 33, took his first steps in football in the youth ranks of Varzim SC, the club where he made his senior debut in the 2010/2011 season. His performances caught the attention of SC Olhanense, who gave him his first taste of top-flight football the following season.

After a promising campaign in the Algarve, he moved to Spain’s Real Betis, where he was subsequently loaned out to clubs such as Siena (Italy), SC Braga, and Académica.

In 2015, Salvador Agra returned permanently to Portuguese football to play for CD Nacional, where he found stability and established himself as one of the league’s most consistent wingers. His strong performances earned him a move to SL Benfica in 2017, though he never played an official match for the Eagles, instead being loaned out again, including stints at CD Aves and Granada CF.

Following a brief spell at Legia Warsaw, where he won the Polish championship, the winger returned to Portugal to join CD Tondela, playing a key role over two seasons.

Since 2022, Salvador Agra has been wearing the Boavista FC jersey, becoming a reference both on and off the pitch. With over 70 appearances for the Axadrezados, the winger has now reached the symbolic milestone of 300 matches in Liga Portugal Betclic — a testament to his longevity and dedication to the sport.
