SCU Torreense's striker, Whelton, wins the Liga Portugal SABSEG Player of the Month for September, with 19.61% of the votes from the competition's head coaches.

It's safe to say that the secret was on the bench! The Brazilian scored two goals in the two games he played for the club, with the curiosity of coming off the bench on both occasions. The Torres Vedras forward beat off the competition from Néne, from AVS, with 11.76 per cent, and André Schutte, from UD Oliveirense, with 8.50 per cent.
