Nélson Veríssimo wins the Vítor Oliveira Award - Manager of the Month

The SL Benfica B head coach beat Jorge Costa (AVS) and Leandro Pires (Santa Clara)

Nélson Veríssimo is the winner of the Vítor Oliveira - Liga Portugal SABSEG Manager of the Month Award for January, in which he led SL Benfica B to an unbeaten run in the competition.

The 46-year-old coach won the preference of his fellow professionals in the competition, receiving a total of 28.15 per cent of the votes, after leading his team to victories against Belenenses (2-1), FC Porto B (3-0) and CD Mafra (2-1).

Nélson Veríssimo beat off competition from Jorge Costa (AVS), who registered 14.07%, and Leandro Pires (Santa Clara), with 12.59% of the votes.
