Gyökeres wins once again the Continente Forward of the Month

The Swedish striker wins his second consecutive accolade

Gyökeres, Sporting CP striker, has been named Forward of the Month for October/November in Liga Portugal Betclic, winning the accolade for the second time in a row.

With 26.19 per cent of the votes, the Lions' striker beat off the competition from André Luís, of Moreirense FC, with 19.05 per cent, and Banza, of SC Braga, who won 18.25 per cent of the votes from the competition's head coaches.

During the period in question, the Swedish striker scored the opening goal in the Green and Whites' win against FC Arouca and also netted in the defeat against SL Benfica. In addition to his goalscoring prowess, Gyökeres also showed an aptitude for assists, adding two in Sporting CP's win against Estrela Amadora.
