Gyökeres seals the “hat-trick” as Player of the Month in Liga Portugal Betclic

The Sporting CP striker wins the accolade for the third time in a row

One, two... three. That's the tally for Gyökeres, who has once again been voted Liga Portugal Betclic Player of the Month. After September and October/November, the Sporting striker, who also received the Forward of the Month award, has now completed his hat-trick.

The goalscorer of the green and whites was instrumental in the league leaders' three victories in four matches, scoring four goals: two against Gil Vicente FC, one against FC Porto and one against Portimonense, while also registering an assist.

With 27.35 per cent of the votes from the competition's head coaches, Gyökeres beat off competition from Rodrigo Gomes (Estoril Praia), with 22.22 per cent, and Banza (SC Braga), with 15.38 per cent.
