Hugo Gomes, Moreirense FC's Brazilian player, was voted Defender of the Month in the Liga Portugal SABSEG. In September, the Brazilian got 12.50% of the votes from the main coaches of the competition.

In turn, Rocha, also from Moreirense FC, came in third, with 11.76%, and João Marcelo, centre-back of FC Porto B, got 8.82% of the votes.

It is also important to highlight that, in the period in question, the 27-year-old defender played every minute for the team coached by Paulo Alves, having conceded only two goals, contributing in a decisive way to Moreirense FC's unbeaten record, including a goal in the victory against CD Trofense.
