João Mário renamed Liga Portugal bwin Player of the Month

The Portuguese international player had also been named Best Midfielder of the competition in February

With a remarkable season at all levels, João Mário has been decisive in SL Benfica, in a form that earned him another nomination for the Liga Portugal bwin Player of the Month, in February, repeating the accolade of December/January.

With a total of 35.71% of the votes from the head coaches of the competition, the Portuguese international has once again been nominated as Liga Portugal's Player of the Month, and in a double dose, after also being awarded as Midfielder of the Month.

The number 20, who carries the status of the midfielder with the most goals in the main European leagues in 2022-23, had a month at the highest level, individually, with four shots and two assists in the three matches played in the period under evaluation, in which SL Benfica obtained a 100% winning record.

Thus, João Mário overcame the competition of his teammate Gonçalo Ramos, with whom he shares the leadership of the top scorers of the Liga Portugal bwin, who reached 11.90% of the votes, and also Fran Navarro (Gil Vicente FC), who got 9.52%.
