Best of August: Roger Schmidt wins the Vítor Oliveira Award – Manager of the Month in Liga Portugal bwin

The SL Benfica helmsman raked up 34,72% of the votes from the remaining coaches of the competition

Roger Schmidt, newly arrived coach at SL Benfica, started his spell at the club in the best way possible, by being named Best Coach of August in the Liga Portugal bwin, in his first month in the competition.

The German coach's men sealed an 100% winning streak in August, after beating FC Arouca, Casa Pia AC, Boavista FC and FC P. Ferreira, scoring 11 goals and conceding just two in what was a very successful opening month of the competition for the Reds.

In second place was Artur Jorge, from SC Braga, with 23.61%, while Paulo Sérgio, from Portimonense, completed the podium with 21.53% of the votes.
