Best of January: Alexsandro named Defender of the Month in Liga Portugal SABSEG

The GD Chaves centre-back racked up 18,52% of the votes from the head managers of the competition

Alexsandro, GD Chaves' centre-back, was named Best Defender of January in the Liga Portugal SABSEG by the head coaches of the competition, after getting 18,52% of the votes.

The Brazilian defender has been the team's mainstay in their whole defensive process, which earned them an impressive unbeaten run during this period. In addition, Alexsandro scored a goal in the 3-1 triumph against CD Feirense in Matchweek 20.

Closing the podium, Leonardo Lelo (Casa Pia AC) finished second with 15,43% of the votes, while his teammate Zach came third with 8,64%.
