Best of August: Aderllan Santos named Best Defender of the Month in the Liga Portugal SABSEG

The Rio Ave FC centre-back is the first player to be chosen as the best defender of the month, after voting by the head coaches of the competition

After voting by the Liga Portugal SABSEG managers, Aderllan Santos (Rio Ave FC) wins Best Defender of August in the competition.

The defender racked up 15,005 of the votes, surpassing Jean Felipe's 12,00% (SC Covilhã), while his teammate, Costinha, closed the podium with 7,00%.

The Brazilian played all four matches during this month, while securing the same number of triumphs in this period.

It should be noted that this season marks the start of monthly awards in the competition in question, in line with what was already practiced in the Liga Portugal bwin.
