The Liga NOS Champions end the season with a comprehensive win

A hat-trick by Pedro Gonçalves, an own-goal from Karo and Gonzalo Plata sealed the triumph for the Lions (5-1)

In the ultimate match of the Liga NOS season, the team under manager Rúben Amorim beat Marítimo M. by 5-1.

The scoring was opened right after seven minutes through Pedro Gonçalves, with the Portuguese midfielder doubling the lead in the 20th minute. One minute later, an own-goal from Karo settled the scoreline at 3-0 before half-time. In the second half, Pedro Gonçalves scored a hat-trick in the 62nd minute to claim the award for top goalscorer of the Liga NOS 2020-21 season, with 23 goals in total. In the 75th minute, Gonzalo Plata scored the fifth for the Lions, right before Beltrame sealed the 5-1 final result in the 89th minute.

With this result, champions Sporting CP end the Liga NOS 2020-21 season on 85 points, while Marítimo M. stood on 35 points.
