Liga Portugal congratulates the Reds on winning the 38th league title in their history

SL Benfica are the winners of the 2022-23 Liga Portugal bwin after beating Santa Clara 3-0.

In the 34th and final matchweek of the competition, the Reds only depended on themselves to secure the title, being two points ahead of second-placed FC Porto and with an advantage of 11 goals over the Blues. With today's result, the Eagles ended the season on 87 points, two more than the Dragons.

Liga Portugal congratulates SL Benfica, its players, coaching team, staff and representatives on winning their 38th league title, in a season where Roger Schmidt's side started off their campaign with seven wins in the first seven matchweeks, having only conceded their first defeat on Matchweek 14, clinching 10 consecutive triumphs between Matchweeks 17 and 26, and ending the competition with five wins in the last six matches.
